About Our Chapter

Mancunium Chapter members come from all over Greater Manchester; Lancashire; North Cheshire; Staffordshire; Derbyshire, a couple of refugees from Hull and some Southerners who headed north and not surprisingly never wanted to leave.

We organise a wide range of social activities and have a comprehensive calendar of ride-outs for Harley owners of all ages and experiences. The Mancunium Chapter is a large Harley Owners Group in the North West of England with over 300 members. This site is run to enable members and guests to contact us and, to inform you, of the latest news and events concerning the Chapter; H.O.G. and Harley news in general.

Please ensure you arrive at all Chapter rides at least 15mins before the starting time, to listen to the ride briefing. Please arrive with a full tank and an empty bladder.

Meet at the Legh Arms (Toby Restaurant) London Road, Adlington, Macclesfield SK11 0BL

Meeting from 8.45 for a 9.45 briefing and prompt 10am departure

A full buffet breakfast or just tea and toast/coffee etc is available at a reasonable cost.

We will be meandering around the Peak District on some of our favourite roads, besides the great roads and stunning scenery we will be stopping for a bite to eat in one of usual haunts, the beautiful village of Hartington before heading on to Blaze Farm for ice cream

On leaving our meeting point we will head via Potts Shrigley towards Whaley Bridge, onto

Chapel-en-le-Frith then heading down Winnats Pass into Castleton.

We then ride along Hope Valley through Hathersage making our way via Froggart, Ashford in Water and Longnor to Hartington (SK17 0AL) arriving around midday after c 55 miles

We will take a 45 min break and depart at approx 12.45

For any small tanks we will briefly stop at a Tesco Express Petrol Station outside Buxton (12miles)

We will then head past the Cat and Fiddle, drop down through Macc Forest and following a further 12 miles we’ll end up at Blaze Farm ( SK11 0BL)

Again a 45 min break, enough time to enjoy an ice cream or cake or both !!

On the road again, heading back towards Buxton, we then go down Long Hill, take the back road from Whaley Bridge to Higher Disley on to our final stop and the end of the ride at the BP Garage, Buxton Road, Hazel Grove (SK7 6AF)

Finishing approx 3.30pm after c 100 miles on some beautiful open, sweeping and at times challenging roads.
